CGLA is the only private agency in Chicago that provides criminal defense services city-wide to adults, positioning CGLA as the sole alternative to the Public Defender’s Office. CGLA’s criminal cases involve those who are unjustly accused, juveniles, those suffering from mental illness, first-time offenders, or others for whom CGLA believes our intervention can make a significant difference in the individual’s life. Each case that CGLA accepts is closely examined to ensure that we are, in fact, the best organization to assist the prospective client.
