Where Do We Spend Money?

We pay national producers for some shows, like NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered. Our own City Room is filled with local reporters and producers for our own shows. Covering the news consists of stuff like paying reporters' salaries, to microphones (and the batteries that power them out on the road), to safety equipment for reporters out in dangerous war zones and much more.
