Exploring Ancient Roman Civilization

Journey through Italy

I love Italy. The food is incredible, rich, and fattening. The history is fascinating, with part of certain cities leaving you feeling as if you are walking in the footsteps of gladiators and the Roman soldiers. And then there is the wine. Prior to 2015, I had been to Italy several times for the historical tourism. July 2015 was the first time I went for wine in Tuscany. The fact that 4 months later I was back again and already am contemplating my next visit may give a clue as to what I think about Tuscany.

Beautiful, beautiful, Tuscany. Exploring fields and fields of sunflowers and lavender. Grapes for acres and acres of lush country hillside. Brunellos of Montelcino. Vino Nobiles of Montepulciano. Chianti Classico. And the list goes on. But my favorite is Brunello.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” interval=”3″ images=”5281,5282,5283,5284,5285,5286,5287,5288,5289,5290,5291,5292,5293,5294,5295,5296,5297,5299,5300,5301,5302,5303,5304,5305,5306,5307,5308″ display_title_caption=”true” layout=”4″ gallery_style=”2″ onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_raw_html]

911 Memorial - Remembering 15 years later

The memories remain. And the triggers exist.

People ask whether I still think about September 11th. The memories remain. And the triggers exist. And so occasionally I will write about it. I will always think of those who lost their lives simply because they went to work. I will always be grateful to those who lost their lives actively running toward the danger. And I thank God for pulling me through and helping guide my path that day and every day.
